I. Collective Nouns: Name a group of people, places, or things with members.
Examples: team, class, group, etc.
A. Singular Collective Nouns: These nouns are singular when everyone in the group is doing the same thing all together.
Example: The class was standing in a circle.
B. Plural Collective Nouns: These nouns are plural when certain members of the group are doing different things on their own.
Example: The class begin their homework assignments while they wait for their teacher.
